Yesterday you received the message that we will remain closed through May 1, 2020. The first day back to school is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2020. Our administrators and teachers are working tirelessly to ensure your children continue learning. You will be hearing (or have already heard) from your principal regarding work for next week and then beyond. As you can imagine, this is a challenging time for our teachers. They are trained professionals who enjoy children and classroom instruction. They are not accustomed to working from home or remotely, and, are doing the very best they can to meet your children virtually and promote learning. I know you are concerned about staying current, earning grades, the junior year, and graduation. The California Department of Education is trying to stay one step ahead of everything – when we receive guidance, change in educational code and further direction, we will let you know. Everyone in the state of California is asking the same questions and I share your concerns.
On a bright note, the Food Services Team continues to provide free breakfast and lunch daily and will do so during Spring Break as well. We just received a waiver allowing parents to pick up food without their child being present! Effective immediately, you may pick up breakfast and lunch for your children and they do not need to be with you.
Location: Vintage Hall, Daily Monday – Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 AM
