Forrest Minter, Trustee

Forrest was born in Fairfield and lived in the Napa Valley off and on throughout his childhood. As a teenager, he moved to Saint Helena, where he attended RLS and the Saint Helena High School; graduating as a member of the International Baccalaureate Program, and academic decathlon. After graduation, he attended classes at the Napa Junior College while working various jobs throughout the Napa Valley. He self-published his first novel in 2018, at which point he transitioned to being a part-time author.

Forrest has been a long-time singer and musician in his free time; participating in multiple choral programs, as well as studying piano. He has also acted in several plays over the years, most recently at the Napa Junior College prior to Covid.

Forrest is a strong proponent of music, and the arts as an important part of a rounded education. In addition, as a lifelong bookworm, he believes in the importance of a well-supplied school library for expanding learning beyond the curriculum.
